Ollie Terrie is an illustrator/printmaker currently based in Cambridge. He specialises in the traditional method of relief printing, carving out lino blocks to create bright and bold prints.
He draws his inspiration from legend, folklore, flora and fauna from around the world. It is only natural that most of his prints quite heavily feature these themes. Olly creates prints that make him happy and reflect who he is as a person. Which is why he mostly uses bright and punchy inks for his prints.
Paper is also a key part in the process as he likes the idea of everything being handmade (from the print design to the paper), so most of the work is printed onto handmade washi from Japan’s oldest paper mill; Awagami.
