The 'Car Alarm Challenge' is here to shatter everyone's eardrums

We regret to inform you that one of the most annoying sounds in the world has inspired an internet challenge.

After Twitter user @P_gibb shared a video herself impressively mimicking a car alarm in late March, others decided to see if they shared her "secret talent."

Now, a bunch of people are participating in the #CarAlarmChallenge by uploading videos of themselves shrieking and wailing like automobile alarms while hitting themselves in the throat. Fun!

Here's a sampling of some of the best car alarm humans in the business.

Some of the videos are hilarious, but also if you think about the unnaturally manipulated voices for too long, they are... chilling. 

I'm honestly not exactly sure how one discovers they possess this rare talent, but I'd imagine if you want to investigate you should start screaming and gently karate chop your Adam's apple over and over again.

See what happens, and if it turns out to be a bust, share the video anyways, because in my opinion, #CarAlarmChallengeFail videos are better!
