Going Live on Instagram 

Here is a  step-by-step guide to help you go live and engage with your audience and followers. 

1. Open the Instagram app on your phone 
2. At the top, search for the camera icon that is usually available at the top left corner
3. You will go to the stories and at the bottom, you will be able to see the live option by swiping through the option 
4. Click on “go live” and the platform will sending notification about you going live to the followers 
5. As soon as people start watching the live video, you will be able to see the people who have joined at the bottom of the screen 
6. Once you are done with going live, click on the “end” button at the top right corner 
7. By the end of the live session, you will be able to see how many people joined the live session. 

If you want, you can save the live session for up to 24 hours as an Instagram story and people who missed out on the live session will be able to watch it at their own convenience. 

Going Live With The Friend

If you don’t want to go live on your own or if you and someone else have to break some news together, you can go live together. To gain information about going live together, you can follow the below-mentioned steps;

1. Open the Instagram app 
2. At the top left corner, click on the camera icon 
3. Choose the live option by swiping through the options at the bottom 
4. Click on “go live”
5. You will go live and you can click on two smiley faces to go live with someone. However, make sure the person is watching your video 
6. You can also invite someone to go live with you by clicking on “send to” and choose the username and it will send a live request to them 
7. Now, click on the add button and once they accept the request, they will start appearing by your side on the screen in a split screen 
8. To remove the other person from the live, click on the “x” button at the top right corner
9. If you want to end the live, click on the end button at the top right corner 

Requesting To Go Live On Someone Else’s Account 

1. Open the live video of the person you want to go live with and click on the “request button”
2. Now, click on “send request” and it will send the requesting notification 
3. If they accept the request, good for you and if they don’t, better luck next time!
