Best Online Fax Services https://ift.tt/2Mk3RHa For decades, the fax machine was the most popular way to communicate in the business world. But there’s no denying its decline since digital communication has become the new norm. With that said, there are still times when you need to send a fax. Or maybe someone needs to send you a fax. Believe it or not, faxing is not dead. 82% of companies with 500+ employees are continuing to send the same number of faxes, if not more, year-over-year. Certain documents, especially those requiring signatures, are sent still via fax. While it may not always be your preferred method of communication, this is something that you can’t ignore. That’s why online faxing is growing in popularity. With an online fax service, you can send and receive faxes without owning a fax machine. Switching to an online fax service has so many benefits. In addition to the convenience, it’s cost-effective and environmentally friendly. Traditional fax machines consume roughly 200 billion pages of paper per year in the US alone. If just 5% of those faxes were sent online, it would save 10 billion pieces of paper or roughly one million trees per year. This reduces your carbon footprint and saves costs related to paper, ink, and energy. If you want to ditch your old fax machine and start sending faxes online, this guide has you covered. I’ve identified the top online faxing options for you to consider. The 9 Best Online Fax ServicesThere are dozens, if not hundreds, of online faxing services. It can be pretty overwhelming to find the best one for your unique situation. Not all online faxing services are the same. I’ve reviewed the top nine options on the market today. While all of them will allow you to send and receive faxes online, some will be more appealing to you than others. Each review covers the price, benefits, and any potential drawbacks of the faxing service. Use this information to find the best online fax for your business or personal use. eFaxWith over 10 million users across the globe, eFax is one of the most popular online fax services on the market today. The concept is simple; send an online fax from anywhere using your smartphone, computer, or tablet. You do not need a fax machine to use eFax. Getting started with eFax is simple. Select an area code based on your location, or choose a toll-free number based in the US. One of the major standouts of eFax is the ability to send international faxes, which isn’t offered by every online fax company. If you already have a fax number for your business, you can convert it to eFax. It’s worth noting that novelty and custom fax numbers are not available with eFax. As I mentioned earlier, faxing is commonly used for scenarios when signing documents is required. eFax has an integrated electronic signature feature, which allows you to sign documents without having to print anything. eFax offers unlimited online storage to safely keep your faxes on file for the lifetime of your account. It’s easy to locate documents by searching for keywords. Speaking of security, eFax won’t deliver fax content directly to your email inbox. Instead, all inbound faxes are encrypted and hosted securely. So you can download any confidential faxes from there. If you’re using online cloud storage services like Google Drive, Dropbox, or iCloud, eFax lets you fetch files from there and send them out via your virtual fax. Here’s an overview of the eFax pricing structure: eFax Plus — $16.95 per month
eFax Pro — $19.95 per month
They also offer eFax Corporate solutions with custom pricing based on volume. You’ll need to request a quote from their sales team. These prices are actually a bit high compared to the competition. You can save some money and get two free months if you sign up for an annual plan instead of month-to-month. If you go over your monthly page allowance, you’ll be charged an additional $0.10 per page with each plan. Overall, eFax is simple, straightforward, and popular. The mobile app is modern, and you’ll benefit from high-quality faxes. eFax does fall short in terms of value. There are more affordable options out there, and it’s not great for high-volume users. HelloFaxIf you’re looking for an online fax service with a smooth and modern interface, HelloFax should be at the top of your list. HelloFax stands out from the competition with its cloud storage integration features and team options, which is great for small business owners. Another reason why we love HelloFax is because it has a built-in editor. This makes it extremely easy for you to deal with any attachments. Unlike eFax, which counts sent and received faxes separately toward your monthly allowance, HelloFax groups them together. In my opinion, this is a much better pricing structure. Here’s an overview of the plans and pricing for HelloFax. Free — $0
Home Office — $9.99 per month
Professional — $19.99 per month
Small Business — $39.99 per month
The free send-only plan is extremely limited. It’s really only intended for someone who needs to send a one-time fax that’s less than five pages. Otherwise, there’s not much else you can do with it. For just $10 per month, you can send an receive 100 more pages than eFax, for half of the price. Plus, HelloFax won’t hit you with any setup fees. All paid plans come with a 30-day free trial and discounted rates for annual contracts. While HelloFax is great, it does have one significant pitfall that’s tough to overlook. There isn’t a dedicated mobile app, which is a bit disappointing. But if you can look past that, HelloFax is still a great option to consider. FaxZeroThe name FaxZero is inspired by its price—zero dollars to use. That’s right; FaxZero is a free online fax service. More than 20,060,000 faxes have been sent using the platform. Using FaxZero is simple. Just navigate to the website and fill out the fax form. You don’t even need to create an account. Simply enter your name, company (optional), email address, and phone number. Then enter the name and fax number of the recipient. Once that information has been filled out, you can send up to three pages by attaching a file. The cover page does not count toward this limit. You can send up to five free faxes per day, for a total of 15 free pages daily. That’s pretty good considering you don’t have to pay for anything. The downside of FaxZero is that you can’t receive any faxes. But it’s the perfect choice for an occasional user who just needs to send a quick fax. FaxZero also offers an “Almost Free Fax” plan, which costs $1.99 per fax. This allows you to send up to 25 pages and removes the FaxZero branding from the cover page. I probably wouldn’t consider the paid plan unless it was just a one-time occurrence. There are other affordable plans out there that provide much better value and benefits with monthly plan options. The bottom line is simple. If you don’t have a fax machine and want to send a short fax for free online, FaxZero will be your best option. Beyond that, it’s extremely limited. SfaxThe “S” in Sfax stands for secure. This online fax service is different compared to other options on our list. It’s an industry-specific online fax option for individuals in the healthcare space. Any time medical records are being sent, through any medium, privacy and security is a top concern. Sfax is a HIPAA-compliant fax service that allows people to send, receive, manage, annotate, and digitally sign documents without a fax machine or a printer. In addition to the enhanced security, Sfax will also improve your healthcare workflow process. Printing and manually signing documents is not an effective use of time. Sfax makes it possible for your remote staff, or anyone who is traveling, to send and receive essential health documents from anywhere. Since Sfax is designed for the health industry, it offers flexible options for total control. You can manage your users to set access, permissions, and security options for each person. It’s also easy for groups and teams to collaborate, view, manage, and export documents. You can use Sfax with multiple locations, multiple numbers, and multiple sub-organizations all on the same plan. You don’t need a separate account for each location, and the number of users for each account won’t be restricted either. Let’s take a look at the plans and pricing options for Sfax: Standard — $29 per month
Plus — $49 per month
Contender — $99 per month
Sfax also has custom Enterprise plans for high-volume users needing 2,500+ pages per month. You’ll be charged $0.10 per page for each page over your monthly limit. As you can see, Sfax is pricey. But it’s worth it for medical practices or any company in the healthcare field. Another drawback of Sfax is that it only supports faxes being sent in the US and Canada. Biscom 123Biscom 123 is another top consideration for online faxing. It’s one of the best options for email-to-fax on the market today. You can send a fax directly from your email app using the following format: RecipientName.RecipientFaxNumber@biscom123.com The subject line of the email you send will also be the subject of the fax cover page. The body of the email will be the memo of your cover page. But you can’t customize anything else on the cover beyond that. Simply attach files you want to fax directly to the email. Attachments get converted into fax image files and transmitted to the recipient. You’ll receive a confirmation email once all pages have been successfully transmitted and sent. While Biscom 123 integrates with email, it does have a strange drawback compared to other online fax services. You can’t send a fax from the web interface. The Biscom 123 mobile app has its flaws as well. But you must use it to link with your existing email platforms. You might experience some glitches and crashes using the app. Biscom 123 offers two simple plans: Individual — $7.99 per month
Small Group — $14.99 per month
You can try Biscom 123 free for 30 days without entering your credit card information. It’s a good options for occasional users, but definitely has its fair share of limitations. RingCentral FaxIf you’re a regular Quick Sprout reader, you’re probably familiar with the RingCentral name. They recently made my list of the best phone services for small business. RingCentral Fax is another popular feature that should be taken into consideration if you’re a small business owner or sole proprietor. I like RingCentral Fax because it has a modern interface, offers fax scheduling, and supports attachments for large files. Another benefit of this provider is that you won’t be charged for a toll-free fax number. Getting started with RingCentral is simple. Just choose your number and log in online or through the mobile app. Then you can start sending and receiving faxes from any device. You’ll have the option to send online faxes to groups, receive notifications for all fax activity, and block any incoming faxes without caller ID. RingCentral Fax keeps an online file log of all faxes sent and received, so it’s easy to go back to access those as a reference. Here’s the plan and pricing breakdown for RingCentral Fax: Fax 750 — $12.99 per month
Fax 1500 — $17.99 per month
Fax 2500 — $49.99 per month
As you can see, the rate for additional pages is lower with each pricing tier, which is different compared to some of the other services we’ve reviewed so far. You can save up to 33% off with an annual plan and try RingCentral Fax free for 30 days with a trial. RingCentral Fax isn’t perfect. The quality of the faxes could be a bit better, and you won’t be able to send any international faxes. But overall, the plans offer a decent value. MetroFaxMetroFax offers online faxing at an excellent value. With plans starting as low as $10 per month, it’s a top option for small business owners as well as personal usage. Every MetroFax plan comes with the following features and benefits:
MetroFax probably has the best mobile app for faxing online. The web interface is a bit outdated, but it’s a great option if you’re planning to send and receive faxes from your smartphone. In addition to the great value, MetroFax has exceptional fax quality. Unlike other platforms we’ve seen, you won’t pay any activation fee to get started. MetroFax has three plans for you to choose from.
Each plan is designed to meet the needs of low, moderate, and heavy fax users. The platform is designed to accommodate large files as well. One customer raves that they were able to send a 500+ page fax using MetroFax with ease, while other online fax services couldn’t get the job done. Overall, MetroFax is a solid choice for all of your online faxing needs. I wish with the web version was a bit more user-friendly, but stick to the mobile app and you’ll be fine. MyFaxMyFax is another excellent option if you’re planning to send faxes from your mobile devices. But the overall standout of this online faxing service is its simplicity. The MyFax setup process is about as easy as it gets. Like Biscom 123, MyFax is a fax-by-email service. You can deliver MyFax messages to recipients with traditional fax machines as well as those with an online fax service. Although MyFax is simple, it does fall a bit short in terms of security. They also don’t have an option for digital signatures. So I’d recommend MyFax for personal use as opposed to anything business-related or faxing sensitive information. Plans and pricing are as follows: Home Office User — $10 per month
Small Business User — $20 per month
Power User — $40 per month
Each additional page costs $0.10 when you exceed your limits for all plans. Again, I’d really only recommend MyFax for personal use. Even the Small Business plan and Power User plan are pretty limited in terms of how many faxes you can send per month. For comparison purposes, you can send and receive a total of 2,500 pages from MetroFax for less than the cost of the MyFax Power User plan. So if you are a high-volume fax user, you can get a better value elsewhere. A free trial of MyFax is only available for the Home Office plan. It’s worth trying out for a month to see if you like the platform. Fax.PlusFax.Plus is a budget-friendly online fax service. They have a straightforward free plan as well as annual rates starting at $5 per month. The web interface is modern and the mobile app performs well too. This is definitely a bonus, since so many services on our list seem to excel at just one or the other. For a cheap online fax service, Fax.Plus offers quite a bit of extra features and benefits at each plan level. Let’s take a closer look at what you get with each plan. Free — $0
Basic — $5.99 per month ($4.99 with annual plan)
Premium — $11.99 per month ($9.99 with annual plan)
Business — $19.99 per month ($14.99 with annual plan)
Enterprise — $59.99 per month ($49.99 with annual plan)
The options are flexible and extensive, to say the least. Fax.Plus has a plan for everyone. But overall, I’d lean toward the Basic or Premium plans for something budget-friendly. The Business plan is good too in terms of the price, but you’re limited to just 800 pages per month, which won’t accommodate high-volume users. You can add a vanity fax number to your plan for $19.99. It’s free to sign up for Fax.Plus. There’s no time limit to the length of the free plan. You’ll just start paying per page when you go over the 10-page limit. How to Find the Best Online Fax CompaniesWith so many options to choose from, how can you find the best online fax company for your specific needs? There are certain features and benefits that you need to look for when evaluating online fax services. This is the methodology that we used here at Quick Sprout to come up with our guide. Document ArchivesThe best online fax services make it easy for you to access both sent and received faxes after you originally access them. So look for a service that lets you go back and view old messages. Sometimes these archives will be limited to just a year. So it’s important to know your options before you sign up. Cloud Storage IntegrationIn addition to archives within the faxing platform, you can always keep your documents forever by moving them to cloud storage systems like Google Drive or Dropbox. Another benefit of cloud storage integration is the ability to send faxes from those platforms. This is much easier than the alternative of scanning, uploading, and attaching. Multi-Platform AccessTo get the most out of an online fax service, you’ll want the option to send a fax from anywhere. Computers, smartphones, tablets, iOS, and Android devices. While most online fax companies offer a mobile app, that’s not always the case. Plus, some mobile apps are better than others. Some companies have an excellent mobile app, but outdated web interface. So you can make your decision based on what platform you plan to use the most for faxing. Page LimitsNone of the online fax services on our list have the ability to send or receive an unlimited number of faxes. Each platform and plan comes with limits on a monthly basis. If you exceed those limits, you’ll be hit with a per-page overage charge. You’ll want to find a plan that meets your needs without going over those monthly restrictions. Whether you’re an occasional user or high-volume fax user, there are plans and page limits at varying price points for you to consider. ConclusionFaxing has changed. People are getting rid of bulky fax machines in their homes and offices alike. Online faxing services have changed the way we can communicate via fax. So what’s the best online fax service? It depends on what you’re looking for. There are some platforms for small businesses, others for personal use, and even plans for high-volume fax users. Here’s a quick recap of the services on our list:
No matter what type of faxing needs you have, I’m confident that you can find a plan using a service in this guide. Social Media via Quick Sprout https://ift.tt/UU7LJr December 23, 2019 at 11:18AM

Social Media via Social Media Explorer https://ift.tt/2onGYog December 23, 2019 at 08:56AM Your Guide to Paying for Social Media Advertisements https://ift.tt/2tDKwds Social media advertising is a complex, yet important part of any contemporary marketing strategy. To be successful at it, you need to be focused and know your audience on a level beyond mere market research. And to make paying for social media advertising worthwhile, you need to design the best strategy possible. Your strategy will have to stand against a deluge of content that fills people’s streams. You will need to make your company stand out against things that are designed to grab people’s attention. And doing that, while staying true to your brand, can be a challenge for any marketing professional. Social media campaigns also consider the same things as any other advertising campaign. You need to think about cost, length, and your audience before starting it. You also need to envision what you want out of your social media advertisements. And to learn how to do that and more, keep reading below! Paying For Social Media Doesn’t Have to Be ExpensiveMost social media platforms are free, and so theoretically, your social media advertising campaign shouldn’t cost much. It’s a free platform, so why should you need to pay to use it? Unfortunately, in reality, companies don’t use social media as the average person. They need to pay for it, but that investment is usually worthwhile. While companies don’t need to post on a company account, they do need to pay to use the platform as an advertising space. When companies pay to advertise on Facebook or Twitter, they guarantee that their content will wind up on an audience’s streams. Paying for social media advertising guarantees that your advertisements will be seen. Yet, it’s up to the quality of the campaign itself to get people to click on it. Free Social Media Advertising Can BackfireGuaranteeing that your advertisements will be seen by people is usually a good thing. However, if your content isn’t designed by an expert, your social media campaign can backfire. If you make bad content and post it on an advertising campaign, people will definitely see it, and that will reflect on your brand. If you’re not sure what kind of content to use for an advertising campaign, hire an advertising agency. Most understand how to create content for social medial, and can help guarantee that your social media advertising campaign pays off! There’s More to It Than Just Posting on FacebookThere’s a stigma that social media advertising is just about posting on Facebook. Most people think that anybody can do, yet advertising on social media takes a kind of delicate acumen that few can achieve. Doing it well means understanding an audience at an intimate level, and intuitively knowing the kind of content they want to see. There’s a reason people will pay so much for effective social media marketing. Not only does it pay off well, but it’s also hard to do! Social Media Advertising Pays Off!Several business owners don’t see the point in paying for social media advertising. To them, social media is still just a little game people play to entertain themselves. They don’t understand the opportunities for profit that exist on platforms like Instagram or Facebook. Expand your perspective and dabble in social media advertising. With just a little experimentation, you will find just how much good it can do for your company. And to learn more about how to improve your company, just keep reading our website! The post Your Guide to Paying for Social Media Advertisements appeared first on Social Media Explorer. Social Media via Social Media Explorer https://ift.tt/2onGYog December 23, 2019 at 08:44AM The Top Facebook Advertising Tips For Building Better Brand Awareness https://ift.tt/2PPPi0b Very few advertising campaigns do not include a targeted effort on Facebook. The fact that Facebook advertising is integral to any campaign comes as no surprise. Facebook brought in roughly $13 billion in advertisement dollars in a single quarter. Smart businesses are trying to reach the 2.5 billion Facebook users in the world. One challenge for small businesses is that everyone is advertising on Facebook. This means that users are inundated with ads and may start ignoring them. Read on for Facebook advertising tips to ensure this doesn’t happen to your company. Explore advertising strategies that will optimize your company’s social media presence. Create a Custom AudienceOne powerful aspect of Facebook advertising is the ability to create a custom audience. The goal is to develop a targeted following that is most likely to purchase your product or service. Facebook Insight provides the information you need to see the makeup of this audience. Insight gives demographic data such as location, gender, and age. Achieve Brand AwarenessYour company is not going to sell anything on Facebook. Instead, the objective is to drive traffic to your website and convert leads into sales. Use Facebook to let people know what your company’s brand is all about. Establish your company as the subject matter experts. This involves posting content that is informative and interesting. The ultimate goal of these efforts is to establish brand awareness with this custom audience. Maximize Use of VideoIn the mobile era, consumers are less likely to interact with print or written content. Consumer surveys show that video content is substantially more popular. In fact, consumers are nearly 40 percent more likely to share a video than a blog post. Consider a blog post about how to create a 1099 form. Despite its informational value, this topic may not be intriguing to the masses. However, you will get more interaction using an interesting or comical video instead. Consider Using a Social Media InfluencerSurveys show that many consumers trust an influencer over a brand. If a popular athlete or celebrity tells them a product or service is good, that is enough for them. This may be difficult for companies with a limited budget. However, influencers come in all shapes or sizes. The social media influencer that is right for your company may be a local hero. Focus on Mobile AdsJust like print content, another segment in decline is desktop advertisements. Most people access Facebook via a mobile device instead of using a desktop computer. Therefore, you can reduce advertising costs and increase efficacy by focusing on mobile ads. This is especially true if your product or service is appealing to a younger demographic. A Recap of Facebook Advertising TipsFacebook is clearly a powerful advertising tool. With so many users, advertising on Facebook is integral to any digital campaign. Taking steps like creating video content and developing a custom audience goes a long way. 3 Types of Content on Instagram to Grow Your Followers Rapidly https://ift.tt/35NXxQ4 Instagram is one of the best social media platforms because it allows you to take full advantage of the adage that a picture is worth a thousand words. The beauty of Instagram is the expressiveness the platform allows. Whether you are in a creative field or not, using Instagram to express yourself in a business sense is a smart move. Furthermore, there are plenty of content options you can use on Instagram to engage with your followers and grow your following quickly. The bigger your following, the better it is for your business. That’s why content matters, and if you post different kinds of content, you’re guaranteed to build your follower count quickly. The beauty of Instagram is the platform allows for your creativity to come through. There are several different ways to have user generated content go viral on the platform. The key is to target your audience accordingly and find the content they are interested in. There are a few ways to do this. First, do your research on hashtags and select them accordingly. Second, you need to post consistently. Posting once a day at the same time each day allows your followers to have their feeds not get cluttered and for your keen eye to come through. Varying content is a smart thing to do as well. Fortunately, there are a few different types of Instagram content helping you grow your following quickly and with the right types of followers as well. Promotions and ContestsOne of the great rules of life is that people love free stuff, and a smart business understands that the cost of giving something away is usually covered ten-fold by the money that comes in return. There are several ways that you can run promotions and contests. A great way is through sharing the post. Put up a post where people are required to share the post in order to be put in a random draw. People are going to share these posts because it’s ridiculously easy to do. There’s low cost on the side of the person doing the sharing – it’s easy to throw a share in order to possibly win something like a free shirt if you are in the t-shirt business. Here’s where the viral nature of Instagram works – because one person shares your promotion on their feed, their followers see the share. They look on your page and see everything you have and decide to follow you. Other ways you can promote yourself through contests and promotions is by essentially soliciting followers. You can post something where the first X number of new followers will get a free Y or entered into a contest. Again, the entry cost is really low on these things. Other things regarding promotions is that they don’t need to be giveaways. Promo codes are really valuable because they help you see where your business is coming from and you can tailor your outreach efforts to these new people, so they’re further engaged with your Instagram account. Instagram VideosThe thing about the videos is that there is a much larger engagement with videos than with photos. In fact, when people are on Instagram, they are much more likely to click on the videos. There are many things videos can do which photos can’t. The biggest thing is videos give a face, voice, and persona to what you are showcasing. They allow people to form connections with a product or service in a way a photo is unable to do. Personality and charm come through in a video. Videos are also quite shareable because the person viewing it does not have to think about it. They react instantly. If you share a heartwarming video, it is easy to form the rhetorical bonds via pathos with it. This will attract followers as well. The truth is a video must connect in some way. Funny videos are great at building these connections, but also the heartwarming video will do the same thing. Connections are key because that is what causes people to follow you and take an interest in what you are doing. As you build up your followers, it’s critical to put out this content with some regularity. For example, you should do a story about four times per week. That is just enough to keep people interested enough to share your work while at the same time fresh enough to attract new followers to see your other creations. Influencer-Featured PostsWhen you are looking to juice your follower count you need to turn to the people who have followers to help. Influencers are a great resource because they already have a big follower count and they have the ability to throw more followers your way. In your business, the goal is controlling costs and investing wisely. Posts that feature influencers are good investments because if the influencer sends over a large number of followers, at the very least, a fraction of those followers will engage with you and do business with your company. That said, the other thing you want from the influencers is for them to hawk your stuff. Going back to the t-shirt business, if the influencer is wearing your gear, this is a great thing. Especially if the influencer is making content on their own Instagram page that is featuring your stuff. This is a massive win. The good news is that influencers have no problem extending their reach to you. Their goal is always to expand their brand, and if they are bringing people to your page, naturally this helps them do what they do. So, make sure you are spending time with influencers and engaging with them. You may have to pay a nominal fee for their help along with providing them your products or services, but in the end, the followers they bring you does translate to your business being that much more in the black, and that is why the influencer featured posts are good ideas. This tool adds cinematic stabilization to smooth your mobile videos at any frame rate, even as you zoom in and out. 24FPS has a free trial; paid subscription plans with premium features begin at $3.00/month or $28.99/year. #6: Record Your Desktop and Webcam in TandemRecordScreen.io is a cool tool to record your screen and your camera at the same time. There’s no software or app to download, nor account needed to access this tool. It’s all web-based and works right from the browser. Hit the Record button. Then select either Screen + Cam or Screen Only. The site will ask for permission to access your camera and microphone if you want to record yourself speaking. You can specify which screen, browser window, or specific tab within a browser you’d like to pull into your recording and position where you’d like the recording to focus. After that, hit Start Recording and it’s recording. Press Stop when you’re done and download the video to your computer. You can find RecordScreen.io on Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. RecordScreen.io is free. #7: Remove People From PhotosBye Bye Camera is an iOS mobile app that removes humans from the photos you take with iOS devices. As the name suggests, this app makes people go “bye-bye.” When you use the app to take or import a photo with people in it, the app goes through a process of detecting the humans and automatically removes them from the final image. It will then fill in the gap by recreating what was behind them, whether it’s scenery, a building, or ambiance, without sacrificing the original quality or integrity of your photo. It will look like they were never there. Bye Bye Camera costs $2.99. #8: Remove or Change the Background on Photos With AIPhotoRoom BG Photo Background Eraser is an iOS mobile app that not only removes an image background right in the palm of your hand, it also gives you the ability to completely change the background too. When you use the app to take a new photo or import an image that’s already on your camera roll, it uses machine learning and AI to auto-detect and trace the main focus or objects in the foreground of your image. You can then select from different backgrounds like a solid color or design, or import your own image. You can also add effects like blurring and filters. BG Photo Background Eraser is free. #9: Create & Save UTM URLs in One LibrarySimple UTM is a helpful tool for anyone overwhelmed by creating UTM URLs for their marketing campaigns. This tool helps build campaign URLs and saves them in one place online. To create your campaign URLs, add your original URL and then type the source, the medium, and name for your campaign into Simple UTM’s Campaign URL Builder interface. As you type, the new campaign URL with your UTM parameters is created. You can save as many different parameters as you like and use them again at any time. To visualize this, you can create and store a variety of individual UTM parameters for Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and more within the Simple UTM tool. Then pull them up at a moment’s notice. If you’re working with a team, this tool can be a valuable resource that lets everyone use the same parameter and provides consistency to your analytics and reporting. Simple UTM is free. #10: Add Multiple Emojis to Your MessagingEmojiCopy is a free, web-based app that has search functionality and the option to create a line of emojis all at once. Instead of having to find and add one emoji at a time to your message, you can easily use this site to select as many emojis as you like with a click of your mouse or tap of your finger. Then quickly create a string of emojis that can be copied and pasted anywhere on the web. EmojiCopy works on both desktop and mobile devices. EmojiCopy is free. #11: Share Images of Your Tweets to the Instagram FeedTuigram is a cool app available in the App Store for iOS devices and the Google Play Store for Android. The app converts tweets into posts or stories for Instagram. Rather than relying on taking screenshots of tweets and posting them separately, Tuigram allows you to share on Instagram with a tap of the Share this Tweet button found on the tweet. Select Tuigram and an image of your tweet is generated and ready to post on Instagram. The image will be nicely formatted for Instagram but you can also crop, add hashtags or GIFs, and more as you would for any other Instagram post. There are examples of this tool in action in Social Media Examiner’s Instagram account. We take questions posted on our Facebook and Twitter accounts and post them to Instagram using Tuigram to convert them into images. These are some of the most engaging posts on our account. Tuigram is free. #12: Identify Bots and Spammers in Your Twitter AudienceCircleboom checks how many spammer, bot, inactive, or low-quality accounts follow you on Twitter and allows you to easily unfollow, block, or downgrade them. To access this service, go to the Circleboom website and click on the free Twitter analytics tool. Simply authorize your Twitter account and it will analyze your follower list. Circleboom provides a breakdown of the different criteria it uses to qualify which accounts are fake or spammers such as common nefarious actions, the number of links they tweeted in a row, and how long it’s been since they last tweeted. It will then present a list of accounts you should consider unfollowing for various reasons. Circleboom offers a free plan, and paid plans start at $17/month. #13: Summarize Online Content in Five Bullet Points for Quick ReadingTLDR This, a Chrome or Firefox browser extension, automatically summarizes any articles, web pages, or other big blocks of text into five succinct bullet points. TLDR typically stands for “too long, didn’t read” on the Internet and the tool solves this problem. You drop a URL for a web-based article, or copy and paste the text into TLDR This. It skims the article and highlights the important points in a format that can be read in mere seconds. The summaries are written in full sentences that are grammatically correct, accurate, and straightforward. Get Expert Social Media Marketing Training!Want to keep ahead of your competitors? To use this tool, go to the Detoxify.app site and select any addictive app from which you would like to take a break. These include the most popular social media apps like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and more. Detoxify.app creates a fake bookmark or app icon to replace the original app on your phone, which you can then hide in a different folder or somewhere else on your device. Anytime you tap on the replacement icon moving forward, it will open a web browser that takes you to the Detoxify.app landing page instead. A pop-up reminds you that you’re taking a break from the app. Detoxify.app is free. #15: Share an Instagram Image as a Native TweetTweet Photo allows users to tweet higher-quality Instagram photos than Instagram’s native tools currently allow. The option to share an Instagram photo on Twitter as it’s being posted to the platform generates a tweet with a link to the photo on Instagram, rather than actually showing the photo. Tweet Photo connects your Twitter and Instagram accounts and enables you to tweet single Instagram photos as native photo tweets but not multiple-photo posts of videos on Instagram. The caption on Instagram becomes the text for the tweet but only up to Twitter’s limit of 280 characters. The tweet also includes a link back to the original Instagram post, thereby pushing traffic and encouraging engagement on your Instagram account while increasing your distribution. Tweet Photo is free. #16: Optimize Instagram Stories Content With Customizable TemplatesStoryArt for both iOS and Android helps you produce more creative, polished Instagram stories. Browse StoryArt’s variety of customizable templates for inspiration. Drop in your photos and videos and then change fonts and colors, add captions, or even edit video speeds. When you’re done, you can share it to your Instagram story with a single click. The paid version unlocks extra tools, filters, and layouts, and is available monthly for $2.99 or as a full-year subscription for $9.99. But there’s plenty available in the free version of the app to take your story game up a notch. StoryArt is a freemium app. #17: Block Out Online Distractions for Short Time Periodsdeprocrastination is a Chrome browser plugin that can help turn your browser into a productivity machine. It’s part time-tracker and part site-blocker. Need to keep your head down and work on a project for 2 hours? deprocrastination can make sure you don’t wind up going down any Twitter rabbit holes (unless, of course, that’s part of your job, as it is for many of us). You can block designated pages for set amounts of time or simply track how many times a day you’re visiting certain sites. The paid version even includes data visualizations of what days and times you’re using certain websites and apps. The deprocrastination plugin is free. #18: Compare Pricing and Features of Social Media Management ToolsThe social media tool comparison site socialmediatoolscomparison.com answers the eternal question, “Which social media management tool should I use?” Toggle search elements such as the number of social profiles you want to connect; the number of team members; how many competitor profiles you can add; and the ability to publish, engage, report, or do social listening. Social Media Tools Comparison will compare all of the different social media management tools that accommodate your exact needs. It also shows you what plans are available and monthly and yearly pricing. The site indicates the date it was last updated so you know how fresh the results are. This tool is actually put out by Sociality.io, which is one of the sites that’s part of the comparison. However, it does appear to provide an objective analysis of all available competitive tools. The socialmediatoolscomparison tool is free. #19: Take Better Pictures at NightNeuralCam is an iOS app that essentially brings a “night mode” camera app to iPhone, allowing you to take brighter, clearer pictures in low-light settings. This app delivers the true depth-of-field and high dynamic resolution photography that you’d have during the day, without the washed-out look common to flash photography. NeuralCam does this by using AI and computational photography: It scans the entire image and tests what the camera is able to capture. It takes around 10 seconds for NeuralCam to process the photo—it reminded us of old-school Polaroid processing—and when it’s done, the image is punched up in all the right places. You can import photos from your phone’s camera roll, but we suggest taking the picture within the app for the best results. NeuralCam costs $2.99. #20: Edit Audio and Video by Editing TextDescript is an amazing desktop audio/text editing tool. Upload your audio file—a podcast or a video—and Descript will give you a transcription. But it doesn’t stop there. It’s basically audio and video editing in text mode. You see the wave-form of the audio, the video (if applicable), and the text that correlates to it, all at the same time. You can go into the transcription and delete certain words or whole sentences, and it will then delete that from the video or audio file. Similarly, if you delete part of the audio, the text will disappear. So if somebody said something and you want to edit it out, you can just locate the exact part of what they said, highlight it, and then cut it. You can even scan through the document, see that someone said, “um,” a lot, copy and cut the “ums,” and boom, they disappear from the audio or video recording. You don’t have to capture your audio or video with the app; you can either upload it to the website or you can download the app and use it that way. Descript offers a free plan; paid plans begin at $14. #21: Combine Video From Your Front- and Back-Facing Phone Cameras Into One VideoDuetCam is an iOS app that lets you record both the front-facing and back-facing cameras at the same time stitched together on your iPhone. It creates a picture-in-picture scene, basically like FaceTime or Skype, with a big window and a small window. One application for this might be to show your face in the big frame or in the small picture-in-picture window when you’re creating Instagram stories. Another might be at a big event like Social Media Marketing World. If you’re in the audience and you’re filming, you can share your own reactions while also sharing what’s happening in front of you. You can’t resize the large and small images, although you can determine which lens is the primary versus the secondary, and you can always swap them. There’s another button that allows you to change in which corner the smaller window appears. DuetCam works in both horizontal and vertical orientations but you should decide which one you’re going to use before you begin. DuetCam costs $2.99. #22: Message Close Friends on InstagramInstagram’s Threads app is available for both Android and iOS. It’s a dedicated camera-based app from Instagram and a stand-alone for direct messages with your close friends. Threads is designed for privacy and speed and for doing photos, video messages, and even stories with your Instagram close friends list. There’s no public feed. It’s all private chat. Threads is almost like Facebook Messenger for Instagram. The reason it’s called Threads is that you reply back and forth to stories on a conversation thread. You can turn on notifications for this app and leave them off on the Instagram app. This way, if you only want to get notified of a certain chat thread inside of Instagram with certain people, you can do that. Threads leaves all of your DMs in the native Instagram app as well; this just adds an extra level. You can go over to this app instead of Instagram proper (and potentially get distracted by stories or the feed or the search) and just jump into direct messages only. You can also go to all of your DMs in this app, not just those designated as “close friends.” Go to the settings and tap the triple-line hamburger menu and all of your DMs show up right there, too. It’s got a few extra bells and whistles like statuses and different threads, but overall, it’s very simple and streamlined. If you don’t want to get bogged down by all of the other aspects of your Instagram life, but want to go back and forth quickly and easily and even allow notifications for DMs, you can do that with this app. Threads for Instagram is free. #23: Streamline Calendar Scheduling With Multiple PeopleWoven is the calendar and productivity app to rule them all; it ticks all the boxes. You can send a link for people to schedule time that you’ve pre-determined you’re available. You can also send group scheduling polls, where people can check the times that they’re available and it will choose an optimal time that works for everyone. Woven lets you create different templates for each link type; to illustrate, you can create one type of template for your podcast guests, another template for someone coming to record YouTube content, and other templates for different types of in-person or virtual meetings, with different links, a different setup, and different copy. It syncs with all different calendar types and will alert you to availability conflicts between calendars. Woven is a web-based service that also has desktop apps for both Mac and Windows, an iOS app, with an Android app coming soon. Right now it’s in beta so it’s completely free, and they plan to always have a free option. When they add their paid features, they’re just going to add on some extra bells and whistles. Woven is free. Discover the latest tactics and master social media marketing in 2020! Don't miss this event! What do you think? Have you used any of these tools or apps in your marketing? 6 Great Tips for Never Running Out of Social Media Content https://ift.tt/2Sja2PM Experts say that it is important to constantly post on your social media accounts to help grow your audience. But what happens if you simply can’t think of anything else to share without repeating something you’ve done in the past? And how do you plan ahead with content to keep gaps in posting from happening? Here are six great tips for never running out of social media content. Tip #1: Create a Content Calendar If you’re thinking ahead, you’ll never run out of social media content. Over the course of a day or a week, grab a beverage and brainstorm ideas on paper. Come up with as many as you possibly can before filtering out the best and worst. Then decide when you’re going to actually make the posts. This type of planning is a great way to ensure you always have something ready—even if you aren’t feeling particularly creative on a given day. Plus, it allows you to add these posts to a scheduler, such as Hootsuite. Tip #2: Think About the Wants and Needs of Your Audience It’s always important to think about the wants and needs of your audience when coming up with new social media content. What’s most important to your target follower? Do you want them to take any particular action when they realize that your company or brand can offer help? Write content based on these ideals. Tip #3: Have a List of Outside Sources Not all the content you share on social media is going to reflect your own brand. Thus, have a list of outside sources to consider when you’re putting together your posting schedule. Include things like informative articles, funny memes, quotes, and whatever else meets the standards of your audience. Tip #4: Understand Key Factors of Your Brand If you need additional social media content, think about the key factors of your brand. What do you do? Who do you serve? What products or services do you offer that would be worthwhile for your customers to purchase or use? Touting these facts is an easy way to never run out of content while still marketing your firm. Tip #5: Have Plenty of Images Ready Let’s face it… some days aren’t nearly as exciting as others. Never run out of social media content to post by having plenty of images ready for use. These can include professional headshots of your staff, project photos, or even vacation or personal photos if you’re aiming to be an influencer or individual social media expert. Not only do they give great imagery content, but you can also easily add a quote or text to turn them into engaging and noteworthy social media content. Tip #6: Keep Your Smartphone in Working Condition Another tip? Keep your smartphone in working condition. This will allow you to create a sudden post, take a phone, or jot down notes as the creativity bug strikes. Things like a damaged screen or other issues make this difficult, so take your smartphone to a repair locationahead of time if needed. Content creation is key if you want to grow your social media following to new heights. Keep the posts coming by thinking ahead and utilizing these six tips for never running out of social media content.
