To better understand the modern travel landscape, PSFK researchers mapped out the Travel 2.0 consumer journey at every touchpoint, from the planning to transit to in-stay to added value stages. As part of this process, we pulled together a list of the best and most compelling travel brands creating experiences now. What did we find? Forward thinking and tech-first brand Airbnb is doing a great job of meeting all three. Airlines are biasing towards delivering empowerment and seamlessness, while hotels and other hospitality brands are leaning more heavily towards curation, with some delivering more seamless experiences than others.
