Crowdsourced Platform Connects Pet Owners With Pet Sitters http://ift.tt/2w2DP0p Crowdsourced Platform Connects Pet Owners With Pet SittersWith Pawshake, owners who don't want their pets to remain at home alone or in a kennel can find people in their local area willing to do the job In 2009, Dries Coucke reached out to his local community in Belgium through social media to find a suitable pet sitter while he rushed to take care of his ill father. He wanted pet owners to have an easier time of finding pet sitters, so he and Tanguy Peers created Pawshake. The service operates in a similar fashion to Airbnb: a pet owner searches on Pawshake to find a potential pet sitter who lives in their area. A pet owner can choose from a list of preferred services they’d like the pet sitter to do with their furry companion. These services could include making daily visits to the pet at the owner’s home, availability for house sitting and keeping the pet overnight, dog walking, or transporting an animal to day care. On Pawshake’s website, pet owners can see a list of countries the service operates in to find a sitter in their local area. Mobile Marketing via PSFK http://www.psfk.com/ July 27, 2017 at 05:00AM
