A Bay Search and Rescue volunteer has been filmed walking on quicksand in Morecambe and it looks like he's bouncing on a waterbed.

He keeps moving to make sure he doesn't break the surface and that's what stops him from being pulled down.

The wobbly effect is known locally as a "cow belly", but we wouldn't recommend anyone try it. Quicksand can be dangerous and it is best to stay clear of it.

Bay Search and Rescue is operated as a charity and is funded by donations and grants.
